Muse Spark Open is natively multimodal and designed for complex coding and autonomous AI agent tasks. The model is designed to run locally on Apple computers. However, this will require significant computing power - at least 1 terabyte of RAM. The model will work best on Mac Studio desktop computers equipped with the new M5 Ultra chip.

According to Meta, they combined this model with their own AI developer terminal Muse Code and tested it in various agent scenarios. In particular, the model successfully coped with the tasks of fixing code for the Mastodon network client - from fixing bugs to adding new features and fully building the project.
