Microsoft Ignite 2025, aimed at developers and IT professionals, showcased the full life cycle of artificial intelligence — from ideation to specific business applications.
Microsoft predicts that by 2028, companies will deploy 1.3 billion AI agents to automate workflows. Businesses can already see the real value of agents today, as AI-powered solutions accelerate innovation, streamline processes, and deliver tangible business results. AI has become a key tool for rapid decision-making and adaptation to market changes.
"Safety and responsibility remain at the heart of developments with an emphasis on ethical use and data protection. AI is designed not to replace human creativity and expertise, but to complement them, creating solutions that transform the way we work," the company notes.
Work IQ in Microsoft 365 Copilot: Copilot now understands user role and context to provide more accurate, personalized assistance.
“Based on your data, history of actions, and logical algorithms, the system combines deep company expertise (from correspondence, files, and meetings) with your unique work style. Thanks to this, Copilot is able to build logical chains, identify important patterns, and predict optimal actions based on primary sources,” Microsoft explains.
Microsoft Agent Factory : Helps AI agents understand what to do with data. Foundry IQ and Fabric IQ tools train agents to understand user actions, transforming raw data into understandable business context for decision-making.
Agent 365 Control Plane : A security tool that allows CIOs, CISOs, and IT administrators to monitor, manage, and secure all AI agents, regardless of platform.
At the same time, it helps IT teams reduce risk and simplify agent deployment by integrating Microsoft security solutions such as Defender, Entra, Purview, and Foundry Control Plane.
Chat with Copilot : Now you can talk to Copilot like you would to a colleague. From your mobile device, you can ask, “What are my top priorities for today?” or “Summarize the meeting I missed.” Copilot Chat is available to every Microsoft 365 subscriber at no additional cost. Agent Mode is also coming soon.
