The Bacs-Kiskun County Police Headquarters confirmed to Telex that they had opened a case, but did not provide further information “in the interests of the investigation.” The Ministry of Defense also responded to questions in a similar manner.
According to another Hungarian publication, Blikk , this all happened two weeks ago, and the thieves simply cut through the wire fence, made their way to the airfield, and then stole the parts located behind the nose fairing of the plane. It is currently unknown what the radar components will be used for, although, according to the publication, these planes are still in use in many countries.
