The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a resolution on a «pilot project to increase motivation» on annual contracts for people aged 18-24 who are not subject to mobilization. The document discloses the details of service and the conditions for receiving additional cash payments.
The Government Portal website notes that the Cabinet of Ministers agreed with the Ministry of Defense’s proposal to implement this project within two years. The contract provides for the payment of UAH 1 million to the participants (UAH 200,000 immediately upon signing the contract, and UAH 800,000 in two installments for the duration of the contract).

The contract is concluded for service in the following full-time positions:
If it is impossible to perform military service in these positions due to health reasons, program participants may be assigned to other positions in the military units where they serve, or in other military units.
Recruiting units of military units participating in the pilot project may be involved in the selection of 18-24 year-old volunteers.
If the unit commander decides to sign a contract with an 18-24 year old, the volunteer must undergo a professional and psychological selection and a medical examination to determine suitability. Enhanced training is also provided:
The contract is concluded for 1 year " with the mandatory condition of direct participation in combat operations in combat areas for a period of at least 6 months in total " during the term of the contract.
A one-time cash benefit of 1 million UAH is paid in three installments:
It is noted that in the event of continuation of military service under a new contract, the last 500,000 UAH are paid on the last day of the contract concluded within the framework of the «pilot project».

If the contract is terminated due to family circumstances, the program participant will not receive the unpaid portions of the cash assistance, and if such circumstances arose before the contract was concluded, he must return the cash assistance already received.
The document states that in the event of a serviceman’s systematic failure to fulfill the terms of the contract, he shall reimburse the one-time financial assistance paid to him in full. This applies to improper performance of duties or refusal to perform them, as well as two or more times being held criminally, administratively or disciplinaryly liable.
After the contract expires, the serviceman has the right to resign from military service or sign a new contract. Volunteers who have signed and served a one-year contract are given the opportunity to be exempt from mobilization for 12 months.
Recall that volunteers who joined the army earlier can also receive 1 million. This statement was made during the telethon by the spokesman for the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Dmytro Lazutkin. According to him, to receive funds, such servicemen need to contact their commanders.
