This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense Valery Churkin, who is responsible for technology in the army, in an interview with DOU.
He believes that the pace of development and production of innovative weapons models by Ukrainian manufacturers is quite high.
For comparison, in 2024, about 320 samples of PPE were codified in the first six months. As of June 2025, this is almost 600 samples, including:
In addition, the number of samples of codified fiber-optic-controlled UAVs has increased significantly: at the beginning of the year there were only a few, today there are about 70 of them.
"To gain a technological advantage over the enemy, explosive scaling of the most effective weapons is required. Unification should contribute to this," Churkin noted.
As a reminder, Valery Churkin was appointed Deputy Defense Minister Rustem Umerov in early February 2025. Prior to that, he was the head of the Center for Scaling Technological Solutions (CMTS), responsible for developing hardware and software for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
