The Ministry of Defense launched the "Basic Level of Support" project to evenly equip brigades with drones
Due to the uneven supply of UAVs, it is difficult for brigades to plan combat operations. The Basic Level of Support project, which the Ministry of Defense is launching together with the General Staff, is designed to close this request from the military and make drone manning stable and predictable for several months ahead. In the future, the project will be expanded to other categories of weapons.

In the first stage, the military will be supplied with the most necessary types of drones: FPV (both radio and fiber-optic), "mavics", bombers, reconnaissance wings, and light medium-range strike UAVs.
Over time, this basic level will be scaled to other types of equipment and weapons.
Thanks to the project, units will be able to plan combat operations months in advance, and manufacturers will receive a guaranteed order for 6–12 months to expand capacity. The military will order drones independently through the DOT-Chain system. If a specific model is temporarily unavailable, the system will offer an analogue with similar characteristics.
The first deliveries will start in July.
"This is only the first stage. Next, we will gradually scale the "Basic Level of Support" not only to drones, but also to other categories of weapons and military equipment, so that this approach becomes a new standard of support for the Defense Forces," said the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov.
