The Ministry of Defense codified the first remote control complex for drones in Ukraine
The Ministry of Defense has codified the Hornet Vision Ctrl complex, developed by the Ukrainian MilTech company Wild Hornets, which allows pilots to remotely control drones from anywhere in the world.
This is the first remote control system for drones that has been codified according to NATO standards and officially approved for operation in the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
The complex includes a Hornet Vision Ctrl ground command and control station with a remote-controlled digital video system and a unique 360° omnidirectional antenna, as well as equipment for remote connection of the UAV operator's workplace.
The Hornet Vision Ctrl complex is technically compatible with all Wild Hornets drones that use the Hornet Vision communication system. It is currently available for order:
as part of the BPAK with Sting interceptor drones;
as part of the BPAC with Wild Hornets Digital 10" anti-aircraft drones
as a separate product.
Wild Hornets officially introduced the Hornet Vision Ctrl remote control drone technology in March of this year. It is part of the innovative Hornet Vision ecosystem, which provides high-quality video transmission, reliable communication and low signal latency over long distances, which is especially important for remote control of high-speed interceptor drones.
Already in April, Ukrainian pilots confirmed the effectiveness of the Hornet Vision Ctrl in combat conditions, for the first time destroying enemy targets at a distance of more than 500 km from the pilot's location, and demonstrated effective remote control of the Sting interceptor drone from outside the country at a distance of about 2,000 km.
"Now this technology helps pilots remotely shoot down enemy targets in the most tense areas of the front, significantly increasing the effectiveness of "small air defense". Thus, in less than three months, more than 600 air targets have been destroyed with its use. In including Hornet Vision Ctrl helps the most effective pilots intercept jet fighters. In addition, the technology opens up the possibility of remotely controlling drones launched from land, sea and air-based platforms. The deployment of Hornet Vision Ctrl is currently underway,” the MilTech company noted.
