The department says that they see all the marks under their publications regarding this problem, and suggests that entrepreneurs whose pages have been blocked write to Meta in private messages with details and screenshots — the Ministry of Digital Affairs promises to contact the Meta team and try to help.
The ministry’s post has garnered a lot of feedback from entrepreneurs who have faced blocking. Some of them lost access to their pages at the beginning of the full-scale war — due to the «hate speech» tag, in particular for mentioning the word «Muscovites.» According to one user, back then, pages were deleted outright, while now, for such content, most often, only warnings are issued.
Others complain about fraudulent schemes related to blocking — extortion of money for allegedly unblocking the account after deleting the page, as well as the inaction of technical support/
For many small businesses, Instagram remains a primary sales channel, so losing a page is effectively losing access to customers. Among the examples in the comments is an account with an audience of 717,000 followers that was also blocked.
In response, entrepreneurs massively thank the ministry for its attention to the problem, emphasizing that it is extremely difficult to communicate with Meta on your own to resolve such issues.
