The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the opening of access to the Mission Control module for all users of the DELTA combat system. Previously, it was available to 300 units that have completed more than 200,000 missions in it. What does Mission Control do?
«The Mission Control module has become available to all users of the DELTA combat system. Thanks to it, you can plan missions for UAV crews: allocate areas of responsibility, plan crew routes, and coordinate tasks for UAVs in real time,» the Ministry of Defense said.
It is noted that Mission Control collects and analyzes data from missions, reduces the risks of «friendly fire» and helps establish more accurate interaction between units. Previously, the module was used by more than 300 units and carried out about 900 missions daily, and more than 200,000 in total.
«Mission Control is an important step forward in the development of the DELTA ecosystem and modern military technologies. This module not only provides a high level of digitalization and decision-making support in complex combat conditions, but also opens up opportunities for the implementation of new management processes in the army,» said Kateryna Chernogorenko, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digitalization.
The Ministry of Defense said that Mission Control interacts with other DELTA tools, in particular with the Monitor situational awareness module and the Vezha battlefield video analysis platform, to create «a single information picture for the effective use of UAVs».
Last fall, it became known about the integration of the Vezha platform into the DELTA combat system. The Ministry of Defense noted that Vezha gives the Ukrainian military a technological advantage and eliminates dependence on other services. Instead, the occupiers still «use third-party video platforms, which are often blocked by their developers or the Russian authorities.»
