According to Kosht.media and social media users, under the new terms, transfers of own funds to Visa cards of other banks remain commission-free, while transfers to Mastercard cards are subject to a 0,5% commission.
According to the published tariffs, the changes would have come into effect on October 18, 2026.
At the same time, monobank co-founder Oleg Horohovsky told Threads that there is no final decision on this commission yet. According to him, even if it is introduced, it will definitely not happen on October 18.
Other rates remain unchanged: transfers to NovaPay cards have a 0,9% commission, and transfers using credit funds have a 4% commission.
The change may apply specifically to transfers to cards of other banks, and not to regular card payments in stores or online.
Previously, monobank had already abandoned the mass issuance of Mastercard cards. At the end of 2024, the bank switched mass segment customers to Visa, in particular, reissued existing Mastercard cards.
So for now, we are not talking about a finally introduced commission: the 0,5% rate is already written into the documents, but the bank itself, through Gorokhovsky, stated that the decision could still change.

"We have no plans to introduce a fee for transfers to cards of other banks for now. When we decide to introduce it, I will inform you," reads the post by the monobank co-founder.
