Ukrainian IT product company MacPaw has created an application for macOS gadgets that helps users strengthen their cybersecurity.
The product was developed by MacPaw’s cybersecurity division of the same name. The company previously integrated the Moonlock Engine solution into CleanMyMac, but has now created a separate application for Moonlock.
«We created it because we know that cybersecurity often seems too complicated: all jargon, warnings, and intimidation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Moonlock is based on a simple idea: online security should be accessible to everyone, not just experts in the field,» said MacPaw CEO Oleksandr Kosovan.
According to him, Moonlock is more than an antivirus, but a «calm» assistant with an intuitive design. MacPaw highlights the following features of the application:
«The application provides constant background protection against malware, blocking threats in real time. Moonlock takes care of privacy with VPN and network filtering, helps to strengthen Mac settings and provides practical advice for forming safe online habits,» Kosovan explained.
Moonlock takes up just over 500 MB on your storage drive and costs from $54 per year.
