According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov, in Ukraine, by decision of the General Staff, systematic work is underway to collect all possible information about the operation of interceptor drones and their effectiveness.
He said this during a press briefing dedicated to the launch of the Brave1 grant program within the framework of EU4UA Defence Tech.
«We now understand the situation very well with all the interceptors, and at the decision of the General Staff, this was a separate task of the President: to make it possible to „track“ all the crews that are on the battlefield throughout the country. We understand how many crews there are, what they fly on, what is the conversion of being shot down by interceptors during each attack. We see how the number of enemy drones that are shot down by interceptors is dramatically increasing,» Fedorov noted.
According to the government official, the system for collecting all this data makes it possible to make informed decisions when contracting certain products for defense personnel and supplying them to units.
Mykhailo Fedorov also said that Ukrainian drone manufacturers were given the opportunity to see in the procurement system how popular their products are and what their rating is among the military, which, in his opinion, will have a positive impact on competition.
