Famous YouTuber MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) has launched Vyro, a new platform that connects short-form video creators with well-known creators and brands, and creates a marketplace for distributing short-form content on social media.
According to Net Influencer, Vyro allows content creators without an audience to make money by creating clips from long-form videos. The platform uses a campaign-based structure, where top creators and brands post requirements for the types of clips they are looking for. Platform users create and publish these videos to their social media accounts and submit the URLs to Vyro for tracking.
According to OpusClip, the platform pays $3 for every 1,000 views their posts generate on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Payments are processed hourly and can be withdrawn to cryptocurrency wallets, PayPal accounts, or traditional banks.
Vyro’s payment model is different from traditional creator monetization programs. Unlike YouTube’s Partner Program, which requires 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours, or TikTok’s Creator Fund, which requires 10,000 subscribers, Vyro allows participants to earn money immediately, without any audience.
The platform’s $3 cost-per-thousand views (CPM) rate also exceeds typical rates on other platforms, with YouTube’s rate ranging from 50 cents to $2, and TikTok’s Creator Fund rate ranging from 0.02 cents to 0.04 cents.
It is noted that some professional clip creators earn up to $30,000 per month using such services, but the average potential earnings for most users remain much lower, as the platform is still in its early stages of development.
MrBeast previously publicly stated that generative artificial intelligence could undermine the incomes of millions of creators who make a living from video production.
Participants in the show from the world’s most popular YouTuber MrBeast have filed a lawsuit against the project. One of the reasons is sexual harassment

Видання Foreign Policy опублікувало великий аналітичний матеріал, як українці та росіяни використовують соціальні мережі, щоб давати інформацію про війну. Наводимо його адаптований переклад.
