According to former Defense Minister Mikhail Fedorov, over the past 7-8 months his team has been looking for a way to find Russian vulnerabilities, seize the initiative in the air and on the ground, and predict the next stages of the war. He spoke about this in a video message after returning to Kyiv.
«Over the last 7-8 months there, we have found the key to the Russians, how to find their vulnerabilities, how to beat them, and seize the initiative in the sky and on the ground,» said Fedorov.
According to him, the next step will be the creation of an analytical center, which should use this experience to predict Russia’s further actions.
«The task is to use our experience for our country so that we can predict the next steps of the war and generate proactive solutions in order to prevent these stages of the war and seize the initiative,» said Fedorov.
He did not disclose what vulnerabilities of Russian forces and methods of detecting them were in question. Fedorov said that details about the new analytical center are planned to be announced in the near future.
In parallel, the team is working on creating a DefenseTech venture fund in Kyiv. According to Fedorov, it should invest in military startups and established companies.
Among the three priority areas of the fund, he named sensorization and robotization of the front, jet interceptors and cheap means of destruction, in particular cheap strike missiles, which are planned to be further developed using artificial intelligence. «We need to have a response to all enemy attacks and have our own system built that is capable of responding on a scale,» said Fedorov.
According to him, the foundation will also seek solutions to problems that exist on the front now and may arise in the future. «My task today is to find solutions that will allow us to win the war for independence, to stop the war and to do this through innovation, technology, asymmetry,» he added.
Fedorov also spoke about meetings with international donors, venture funds, and large technology companies during the trip. According to him, they managed to attract resources for the future DefenseTech fund, as well as discuss financing Ukraine’s digital transformation, AI development, and new product launches.
