“What an adult can’t do in the middle of winter, a child essentially did with me and the GPT chat in half an hour.” Milovanov told how AI transformed workflows at KSE, and what the future holds for education
The President of the Kyiv School of Economics, Timofey Mylovanov, spoke about his vision of the impact of AI on education, as well as how the maximum involvement of AI tools has transformed the work of KSE.
The President of the Kyiv School of Economics, Timofey Mylovanov, spoke about his vision of the impact of AI on education, as well as how the maximum involvement of AI tools has transformed the work of KSE.
«The skills that universities give people today will actually be unnecessary and these people will be left without a job… I think that in a few years, about a third of our courses will not be about how to learn something, but about how to learn with the help of artificial intelligence. Because today a person can build a system of his own learning throughout his life with the help of artificial intelligence,» Mylovanov expressed his thoughts at the DOU Day Picnic 2025, where a dev.ua correspondent was present.
As for IT education itself, Mylovanov is convinced that the absolute majority of technical knowledge will be unnecessary thanks to the use of AI.
«The value of a person being able to write a piece of code is going to zero,» stated Timofey Milovanov.
He gave an example of how AI has significantly changed a number of work processes in his own life and at the Kyiv School of Economics. Mylovanov explained that, despite the lack of experience, it is much easier for young people and former students to integrate AI processes into their work than for experienced education professionals.
«What an adult has not been able to do since mid-July, a child has essentially done with me and the GPT chat in half an hour,» he noted, adding that thanks to AI, the Kyiv School of Economics managed to build a personalized online communication system with potential partners, businesses, and investors.
«I can’t just send a report to the conditional Eric Schmidt that KSE has recruited so many students… I sent it to three people and all three people were engaged,» Mylovanov detailed.
As the director of the Kyiv School of Economics said, KSE managed to reduce the number of employees involved in a certain area from 5-7 to 1-2, and these 1-2 employees simply optimize the work of AI tools and interact with them.
