This was reported on social media by military signalman and expert Serhiy «Flash» Beskrestnov.
«The Merops system was created as part of the American project Project Eagle. The implementation of this project, among others, involves former Google CEO Eric Schmidt. Poland, Romania and Denmark will be the first NATO countries in which the Merops complex will be on combat duty,» he wrote.
The expert recalled that the price of one set of UAVs of this type is about $15,000, and recently Business Insider reported that more than 1,000 «shaheeds» were destroyed in Ukraine by this type of interceptor drone.
«I will say for myself that for a very long time Merops was kept secret as an effective and innovative tool. But, apparently, the time of „big contracts and big money“ has come, and no one needs secrets anymore,» Flash concluded regarding the publication of this development.
Previously, dev.ua reported that 90% of «shaheeds» in Ukraine are shot down by interceptor drones, which are created by the company of the former CEO of Google.
