At the same time, competition for IT positions has decreased — currently 10 candidates are applying for one such vacancy.

Earlier this week, the Ministry of Defense reported that among 110,000 applications for various vacancies in «Reserve+», Ukrainians most often choose military professions in the following areas: infantry, headquarters, UAVs, medicine, and transport.
«Ukrainians are looking for and finding a place of service that will best suit their skills. The thesis that „everyone is needed in the army“ does not lose its relevance today. Because every profession is useful and can increase the capabilities of the army», — noted Kateryna Chernogorenko.
Currently, the recruiting service, which works in conjunction with the employment platform Lobby X, offers over 9,000 open positions in the Defense Forces.
The DOU publicationnotes that out of 110,000 applications, 4,253 were for IT positions. The most popular positions are:
«If we look specifically at the statistics in Reserve+, the situation is quite stable. Overall, for the entire period, IT is in 8th place in terms of the number of reviews. In the first four months, 1,942 reviews were received, and in the second four, 2,311 reviews,» the Ministry of Defense says.
The defense department says that IT was in the top 5 in terms of the number of reviews on the Lobby X website, but Reserve+ has a wider reach, which affects the distribution of applications for vacancies.
In April 2024, the founder of the recruitment agency Lobby X, Vladislav Grezev, said that IT was in second place in popularity after staff positions.
In July 2024, it was reported that 86 candidates were applying for one IT position in the military. In the fall of the same year, the recruitment agency Lobby X reported an increase in the number of IT vacancies for the Defense Forces in the «Reserve+» application, as a result of which 15 IT professionals applied for one position.
