The D-21 has a control channel resistant to radio-electronic interference. The pilot controls the platform from a protected location. It operates in two modes - manual and automatic, when moving along a given route at a specified speed.
The complex is equipped with a silent electric motor and low-pressure all-terrain tires, which provide high cross-country ability over rough terrain, swamps and shallow water obstacles. They ensure movement even after penetration, reports the Main Directorate for Support of the Life Cycle of Armaments and Military Equipment.
The D-21 unmanned complex is designed to perform logistical tasks: it can transport food, ammunition, military equipment, and evacuate the wounded.
If necessary, the D-21 robotic complex can be equipped with a remote combat module with a machine gun. With this configuration, the robot can perform fire damage or fire support tasks.
The Ministry of Defense has already codified D-21 and allowed it to be used in the Defense Forces.
