Russia has developed a mobile complex for deploying 4G and 5G networks via satellites

The Russian operator MegaFon, together with the company Bureau 1440, has developed a portable complex for deploying private satellite networks of 4G and 5G standards.
The system is based on the operator's portable base station and the developers' subscriber terminal, which receives signals from low-orbit satellites and acts as a key satellite communication channel, Mediasat reports , citing Kommersant.
The complex is capable of providing data transmission in private LTE and private 5G formats, Wi-Fi, trunking, and video surveillance at speeds of up to 150 Mbps for download and up to 50 Mbps for upload.
The equipment can operate autonomously for up to four hours and provides coverage within a radius of up to three kilometers under direct visibility conditions, including when placed in transport or outdoors while moving.
The launch of the service in pilot mode for the first subscribers is scheduled for the end of 2026, which was made possible by the launch of the first 16 serial broadband access satellites into orbit in March of this year.
