Robot dogs with the faces of Musk, Bezos and Zuckerberg were presented at an exhibition in the US: what is the essence of the idea?

Renowned NFT artist Beeple unveiled his latest work at Art Basel Miami Beach, titled “Ordinary Animals,” which are robot dogs depicting technobillionaires pooping NFTs.

The animatronic dogs wear eerily realistic masks of Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg, as well as famous artists Pablo Picasso and Andy Warhol, and two doppelgangers of the artist himself, Beeple (aka Mike Winkelman), all created by renowned mask maker Landon Meyer, Page Six reports .

As these works walk through the installation, they constantly take photographs. Then they squat down, “releasing” a digital art print stylized after a particular artist.

For example, the one from Zuckerberg looks like the Metaverse, the one from Musk is a black and white image, while the one from Picasso is made in the Cubist style and the one from Warhol is made in the Pop Art style.

Beeple explains that the point is how we see the world now.

“We used to see the world through the eyes of artists, but now Mark Zuckerberg and Elon, in particular, control a huge part of what we see. We see the world through their eyes because they control these very powerful algorithms that decide what we see. And so we wanted to play with that idea,” the artist says.

All of these works have already been sold by private collectors for $100,000. But the owners of the dogs allowed them to be shown at the exhibition.

However, visitors to the exhibition still have a chance to take home a piece of this chaos: dogs will “select” 1,028 prints. Each of them will be stamped “Excrement Sample” and a warning label stating that the item may be “repulsive to most art connoisseurs” and capable of causing “uncontrollable erections in degenerate art collectors.”

Among these prints, 256 pieces have a special barcode that identifies them as genuine NFTs.
