«The main thing is to protect the sky. There are specific solutions that must be implemented as soon as possible,» Zelenskyy emphasized .
According to him, the technological part must also be significantly strengthened to stop the advance of Russian occupiers on the battlefield. Zelensky assured that an audit of defense funding will be conducted as soon as possible, and Fedorov must present «ways to close the deficits.»
The discussion also included increasing the financial support for the military on the front line and the basic level of equipping combat brigades with drones, as well as purchasing specialized drones to defeat enemies further back in the front.
«The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will propose systemic solutions to the problems that have accumulated with the CCC. Decisions have already been made that ensure a more equitable distribution of personnel between combat brigades. But much larger changes are needed in the mobilization process, which will guarantee more opportunities for both the Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine and for economic processes in our state,» the president said.
It is noted that in the near future, Mikhail Fedorov will present the new team of the Ministry of Defense.
Recall that on January 14, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine voted to appoint the former head of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, to the position of Minister of Defense.
Before that, he gave a speech in which he talked about army reform, artificial intelligence, the Central Committee of the Armed Forces, the audit of the Ministry of Defense, and the de-occupation of his hometown.
