The author talked about his development on X. Currently, in Anatomy Atelier, we can see nine 3D models - heart, brain, lungs, liver, kidneys, eye, intestine, pancreas and skin. The models can be rotated and zoomed in, and if you click on individual points, you can see the name of the part of the organ and its function. For example, on the brain there is a temporal lobe, and we can read that it is responsible for memory and hearing. And on the heart, we can see the aorta, atrium, ventricles and mitral valve.
As the author notes: “The creation process cannot be called instantaneous, but you can’t call it complicated either.” You just had to do everything step by step. It really seemed to me that I was creating something that could make studying anatomy much more interesting.” First, he generated images in GPT Image 2.0, and then using Tripo AI, he turned them into 3D models. And then The Bugged Dev wrote a large prompt in Codex, based on which the AI assistant helped create the application.
At first, the author faced a problem. The models together weighed almost 900 MB, so the atlas worked slowly, at about 16 frames per second. But then Codex helped optimize the application. It reduced the size of the models and made it so that only the selected organ was loaded.
The project was also noticed by OpenAI co-founder Greg Brockman. He shared a post with a video demonstration of Anatomy Atelier in X with a short comment: “ChatGPT for creating interactive educational tools.”
