Ukrainian esports organization Natus Vincere failed to reach the finals of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 with Counter-Strike 2, losing to FaZe Clan in the semi-final match.
According to SportArena, the semi-final series ended with a score of 2:1 in favor of FaZe Clan. NAVI started the match confidently, taking Ancient with a score of 13:5, but in the next two maps they lost the initiative. On Nuke, the Ukrainian team lost with a minimal difference — 11:13, and on Inferno, FaZe brought the series to victory — 13:8.
NAVI tied for 3rd-4th place at the tournament and earned $80,000 in prize money. For the team, this means the end of the fight for the major title, despite the confident passage of the previous stages and the status of one of the favorites for the playoffs.
FaZe Clan, in turn, made it to the finals of a major with CS2 for the third time in the last two years. In 2024, the team already played in the decisive matches of the PGL Major Copenhagen and the Perfect World Shanghai Major, but both finals ended in defeats for them. This time, FaZe got another chance to compete for the championship title.
FaZe Clan will face Team Vitality in the final of the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025. The decisive match will take place today, December 14, starting at 7:00 PM.
The StarLadder Budapest Major 2025 takes place from November 24 to December 14 in the capital of Hungary. The total prize pool of the tournament is $1.25 million, and the major itself is one of the key starts of the season in the Counter-Strike 2 ecosystem.
