The company already reports that the system is already helping mechanics and operators of the Armed Forces of Ukraine more efficiently restore Humvee, MaxxPro and M113 by reducing repair time. NeoLens is currently used in dozens of Ukrainian repair battalions across the front line and is gradually being scaled to other types of equipment, including robotic platforms and artillery. The system is most actively used on Humvee platforms.
«NeoLens is the first AI assistant that will work completely without the Internet. Thanks to its autonomy, the system remains a safe and reliable tool even where there is no connection. No other solution on the market offers a similar level of functionality,» the developers say.
The startup was founded at Stanford University in 2025 as part of the Lean Launchpad and Hacking for Defense programs. It was created by a Ukrainian-American, deep-tech engineer and entrepreneur, Ostap Korkuna, and a Taiwanese-American, veteran and entrepreneur, James Leo.
«After hundreds of interviews with Ukrainian and American military personnel, it became clear: the frontline is in critical need of an autonomous tool for repairing equipment that does not depend on the network. NeoLens was created for this purpose,» said Ostap Korkuna, Co-Founder and CTO of NeoLens.
According to NeoLens Co-Founder and CEO James Leo, he cannot stand aside when a peaceful country is invaded, so he supports Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.
«NeoLens saves us hours of work, increases the safety of mechanics, and helps extend the life of equipment. Feedback from mechanics is very positive,» says Igor Simutin, commander of the repair unit of the logistics forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
NeoLens is free for Ukrainian military personnel. The company develops technology that helps equipment work longer and soldiers return home alive.
Currently, the developers are planning to develop multimodal diagnostics using photos and videos, as well as expand the technology to civilian sectors and the international defense market.
Ukrainian military units, mechanics, and volunteer repair initiatives can get free access to the NeoLens system by submitting an application.
