New types of deferrals will appear in "Reserve+" in late July or early August, after which they plan to add another new category.
Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformations and Digitalization Kateryna Chernogorenko reported that two new categories of citizens will be able to apply for a deferment from mobilization in the "Reserve+" application. The following will be able to use the deferment service:
Scientific, scientific-pedagogical and pedagogical workers of higher and vocational education - if data about them is available in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education.
Citizens who have a husband or wife with a disability of group 1 or 2, provided that this status is confirmed by data from the Ministry of Social Policy, the Pension Fund, and the Social Insurance Institution of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Defense is actively working to expand the service to other categories as soon as possible. According to Chernogorenko, the next ones who will be able to apply for a deferment are families raising a child with a disability.
New types of deferrals will appear in "Reserve+" in late July - early August.
Recently, the Verkhovna Rada voted to extend martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days. The parliament also allowed military service for people over 60 years of age on a contract basis. This requires written consent from the military unit, which is provided after the candidate has been approved by the General Staff.
Such contract soldiers will be able to serve in the positions of private, sergeant or warrant officer, as well as junior or senior officers. They must pass the VLK and a two-month probationary period.
