This was reported by Defender Media. The Cabinet of Ministers approved the relevant changes.
According to the government’s decision, Brave1 will be able to purchase special innovative technologies, including robotics, unmanned systems, dual-use and military developments, without applying procurement/simplified procurement procedures. The change concerns purchases necessary for the activities of the experimental unit NEXT.
Forbes Ukraine previously reported that NEXT includes about 300 military personnel, mostly from the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine. They are involved in testing new weapons at the front.
«The development and testing of combat drones, ground robots, and water platforms requires fast and flexible supply of components. Traditional procurement procedures involve competition, and for the realities of the front, it is necessary to make purchases mainly from manufacturers. Simplification will allow the Fund to directly receive the necessary technologies and equipment for accelerated testing, adaptation, and transfer to the military,» said Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture Andriy Telyupa.
