According to the Ukrainian military, in some configurations, the battery allows for doubling the flight time of DJI Matrice 4T and Mavic 3T drones compared to the standard performance of these models.
The company’s press service told dev.ua that the first prototypes were ready in March, and after several iterations, battery production was scaled up to tens of thousands of units.
«Only thanks to the joint efforts of the military and the team in the Netherlands were we able to select the optimal chemistry of the batteries and assemble the battery pack specifically for the needs of end users. Without this cooperation, this pack would not be what it is,» said Wouter Hollander, director of Tulip Tech in Ukraine, in a comment.
As dev.ua reported, Ukrainian UAV manufacturer Vyriy Industries is developing an analogue of the Chinese DJI Mavic copter with a much longer flight duration.
