NORDA Dynamics, a Ukrainian developer of autonomous control systems for drones, has successfully completed a $1 million financing round. The lead investor was the Swedish investment company Varangians, launched in 2025.
Also, the company informed dev.ua that Ukrainian funds Angel One, MITS Capital, angel syndicate United Angels Network and American fund Unpopular VC joined the financing. NORDA Dynamics plans to use the funds to expand production and the team, as well as to develop new products that will increase the autonomy of UAVs.
The company’s engineers create solutions that ensure the performance of missions without the participation of an operator, even in complex combat or isolated environments. NORDA ecosystem products are integrated with dozens of Ukrainian drone manufacturers and have been tested in real combat conditions.
The company will use the funds raised for intensive R&D, expanding its team of highly qualified engineers, expanding testing programs, and further scaling the product ecosystem.
«For us, this is not just money, but confirmation that our war-tested technologies have a global future in the markets of our European and overseas partners. We were one of the first in the world to scale autonomy modules to tens of thousands of combat applications in modern warfare and are now ready for the next stage. Thank you to the investors for your trust and to the NORDA team for their fantastic work. We are moving forward with our goal in mind,» says Nazar Bighun, co-founder and CEO of NORDA Dynamics.
Since its founding in 2024, the team of founders and engineers of NORDA Dynamics has focused on creating autonomous UAV control systems that can operate without GPS, traditional communication channels and in conditions of active electronic warfare. Modern combat operations are increasingly being conducted in environments with a complete lack of communication and navigation, according to our users, since 2022 the need for such solutions has increased by orders of magnitude, explains the CEO of NORDA Dynamics.
Among the company’s publicly known flagship products is the universal autonomy module Underdog. «Today, it is the most widespread system for automatically guiding UAVs to the target in the combat zone,» says Nazar Bigun. Due to its high efficiency, availability, and simple integration, it is optimally suited for mass combat use in modern warfare, he adds.
Another key development is the StableLink azimuth and altitude stabilization system for drones. It ensures precise UAV positioning even in conditions of active electronic warfare and complete absence of GPS. StableLink is already actively used for autonomous missions of drone repeaters and minesweepers, ensuring stable and precise execution of combat missions.
«We have met many strong companies in the field of defense technologies in Ukraine, and the NORDA team is one of the best. The company solves one of the key tasks on the battlefield and has a team and competencies that will allow us to continue to create innovative solutions,» said Varangians CEO Pär Lager.
Lager, along with Andreas Flodström and Jonas Rydin, launched Varangians in Sweden with the support of one of the country’s leading family offices. Varangians' strategic goals are to strengthen the development of defense technologies for the protection of Ukraine, support the rearmament of Europe through Ukrainian innovations, and create long-term economic value for all stakeholders.
