Google has announced the official release of NotebookLM apps for Android and iOS. Previously, the AI-powered note-taking and research assistant was only available on the computer.
NotebookLM launched in 2023. The AI-powered tool helps people better understand complex information with features like smart summaries and the ability to ask questions about documents and other materials. Last month, one of its features — Audio Overviews, which turns documents into podcasts — became available in Ukrainian .
The application will also feature Audio Overviews. Audio broadcasts will have background playback and offline support, TechCrunch reports .

The app also allows you to create new notebooks and view existing ones. Additionally, when viewing a website, PDF, or YouTube video on your device, you can tap the share icon and select NotebookLM to add it as a new source. Users can also view the sources they have already uploaded to each notebook.
NotebookLM on Android and iOS also has light and dark modes that are applied depending on the system settings of the user's device.
