The press service of Nova Poshta reported on the incident. The company notes that the branch was not working at the time of the attack, so none of the employees were injured.
According to preliminary data, the warehouse contained 363 shipments, the total value of which is estimated at approximately UAH 1 million. Currently, access to the premises is limited due to heavy smoke and the threat of further collapses, so the exact condition of the cargo is still being determined. Units of the State Emergency Service and emergency services are working on the site.
Nova Poshta assured that all customers whose parcels were damaged as a result of the impact will receive compensation in the amount of the declared shipping cost. The company promises to provide details on the reimbursement process later.
Despite the destruction of the infrastructure facility, the logistics operator continues to operate as normal. As the company explained, they have prepared backup schemes and business continuity scenarios for such situations in advance. Customers can track the current status of their shipments via a mobile application or on the official website.
This is not the first time that a targeted attack has been carried out on the city's logistics infrastructure. On the same day , a Russian drone partially destroyed the Ukrposhta sorting hub in Kharkiv. The attack caused significant damage to the building, and a large-scale fire broke out on an area of about 1,000 square meters.
