The Nova Group of Companies (which includes Nova Poshta) has implemented a private air defense project and already has Russian strike drones shot down.
This was announced by the company's co-owner Vyacheslav Klymov during the 12th Kyiv International Economic Forum (KIEF), Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"We are one of the few companies that has implemented this project. I don't want to reveal the numbers to you, but we have shot down the "shaheeds,"" Klimov noted.
The company's co-founder emphasized that in conditions of full-scale war, business is forced to take on functions that were previously considered the exclusive responsibility of the state.
In addition to air defense, Nova Poshta is also developing its own firefighting service. The company's employees independently eliminate a significant portion of fires that occur at facilities after enemy attacks, without waiting for the arrival of the State Emergency Service units.
"Now big businesses are looking for fire engines in Europe in order to create their own services. This is our property, and who can forbid us from extinguishing a fire on our own territory?" Klimov added.
