Nova Post Group of Companies is opening a new position for itself, Chief People Officer — and this looks like another signal that large Ukrainian businesses are moving from «HR as a service» to «HR as a strategy.»
It’s not just about the HR director. The company says directly: the new CPO will be responsible for forming a strong management team and building a unified HR system at the level of the entire international group. That is, in fact, for what Nova Post’s management will look like in the coming years.
The role focuses on hiring and developing the top team. Moreover, it is not about closing vacancies, but about attracting the so-called «A-players» at the N-1 and N-2 levels, their onboarding, assessment, retention and systematic development. In parallel, the CPO must unify all HR processes: from hiring to performance review, create a succession system for key roles and launch end-to-end goal setting.
In fact, the company is looking for someone who will transform HR into a full-fledged business partner, not a support function. And this is an important nuance: in large product and service companies, such roles often become drivers of transformations — especially when scaling into new markets.
The requirements are relevant: the candidate is expected to have 10+ years of experience in HR in leadership positions in international companies, experience in building management teams and implementing HR strategies during periods of growth and change. A separate emphasis is on experience in forming a single management culture in different countries, which directly hints at the group’s international ambitions.
The role will be part of top management, reporting to the CEO and Supervisory Board. The work format is hybrid, based in Kyiv, and offers competitive compensation and benefits.
