This was reported by some Threads users who claim to have been part of the test group. One of them, with the nickname sonyyaa25, shared screenshots with details of upcoming changes to the application’s interface.
«I was added to the Monobank test group!!! There will be a new cashback — and the main change: now it is not a fixed percentage, but a progression of 4 levels,» the user noted in her post.
The main change in the new system is the move away from a fixed interest rate. Instead, each category will have four levels of accumulation. The cashback percentage will increase in proportion to the amount the customer spends in the selected category during the month.
For example, if previously for spending UAH 12,000 in the «Products» category, the user received a fixed UAH 120, then under the new progressive system the cashback amount can reach UAH 360. The exact algorithms and rates will be calculated individually for each category.
The terms of category selection remain unchanged: customers still choose two categories on the first of each month, and the accumulated progress is reset at the beginning of the next period. At the same time, partner cashback spending will now also be counted towards the overall category progress, allowing for double accumulation of bonuses.
In addition, the developers have removed the limit on bank cashback accumulation, which was previously limited to UAH 500 per month. This will allow active users to accumulate significantly larger amounts.
To participate in beta testing, selected users must confirm their consent in the application by July 1, 2026.
Previously, monobank launched a new service — «Purchase in installments» for paying for holidays in Ukrainian hotels. The service is already available on a separate page monobank.ua/tourism. Clients can choose a hotel from the list of partners and pay for their stay in installments through the application. «This is a separate page for purchasing in installments in hotels,» — told dev.ua co-founder of monobank Oleg Horohovsky.
