Anthropic hires AI director from French company Orange amid expansion in Europe
The head of artificial intelligence at French telecommunications group Orange has left the company to join Anthropic.
The head of artificial intelligence at French telecommunications group Orange has left the company to join Anthropic.
Steve Jarrett, Orange's AI director, said he had accepted a job offer from Anthropic, but did not disclose his new position, Reuters reports .
Jarrett has worked for this European telecommunications group since 2019.
According to his LinkedIn post, he will start at Anthropic on August 25th and will be based in Paris.
Initially, Jarrett will help the company “better understand and adapt” its products to the needs of the European and African markets.
Anthropic is expanding its presence on the continent as part of plans to triple its overseas workforce, opening its sixth European office in Milan last month.
