There is an assumption that the tool is being developed for game optimization. However, the patented system has a much broader application: it covers work with any GPU programs, compute kernels and other complex workloads, writes VideoCardz.
The patent describes a so-called “LLM-based chat interface” connected to professional GPU performance analysis tools.
Thanks to this integration, the developer will be able to ask the AI:
Why is a specific task performing slowly?
Which node or component of the system is limiting the overall performance (bottleneck)?
What is the difference in efficiency between two different versions of the same program?
When receiving such requests, the AI will be able to independently consult the documentation, analyze the collected GPU metrics, and provide a detailed response. In concept, this resembles Model Context Protocol (MCP)-style workflows, where the language model gets direct access to external tools, rather than relying solely on pre-learned data.

NVIDIA already offers a similar, but much simpler technology for casual gamers and users — Project G-Assist in the NVIDIA App. G-Assist accepts voice or text queries and can report basic statistics: GPU load, temperature, clock speed, power consumption, FPS, and also recommend or change game graphics settings.
The new, patented system is designed specifically for professionals. Instead of basic system monitoring or graphics tuning, it dives into the code level and detailed performance data, helping to create more optimized software.
