This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.
"This is a historical precedent and the next important step that will allow the production in the UK of Ukrainian interceptors, which have proven their effectiveness in the fight against "shaheeds," Shmyhal noted.
The drones manufactured in Britain will be transferred to Ukraine. The planned mass production could reach several thousand per month, the minister added.
The Octopus drone is a Ukrainian technology for intercepting "shaheeds", developed by the Armed Forces in cooperation with the United Kingdom. It operates at night, under jamming, and at low altitudes.
The Octopus concept is to give the Ukrainian Armed Forces a cheap and technologically simple tool against "shaheeds" to reduce the burden on expensive air defense systems and improve the economics of air defense.
In November, the Octopus Shahed interceptor drone was launched into mass production.
Earlier, British Minister for Defence Preparedness and Industry Luke Pollard said that the plans were for approximately 2,000 devices per month.
