«We support the initiative of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and are preparing to sign the agreement. „Octopus“ is a technology for intercepting „shaheeds“, which was developed by Ukrainian military engineers with the support of British specialists. The technology has already confirmed its effectiveness in combat conditions», General Chereshnya noted.
The Octopus concept is to give the Ukrainian Armed Forces a cheap and technologically simple tool against «shaheeds» to reduce the burden on expensive air defense systems and improve the economics of air defense.
It was previously reported that the Octopus technological documentation was transferred to the first three manufacturers, and eleven more companies are in the process of preparing production lines.
Ukrainian and British delegations from the Ministries of Defense of both countries also signed a licensing agreement that will allow the production of Octopus interceptor drones in the United Kingdom.
We will remind that the Ukrainian company Wild Hornets, which produces drones for the Defense Forces, reported that it received at its disposal the Bullet interceptor drone, which is produced by the General Chereshnya company, and considers it a 100% copy of its drone. The General Defense Forces responded.
