According to him, the first version could appear by the end of the year and it will be based on 2-3 billion tokens. The next stage will be to increase the model to 11 billion tokens.
«In general, we want to bring the model to 70 billion tokens. We want it to be used not only by us for internal tasks, but also by any company in Ukraine,» Bornyakov added. According to him, the roadmap for launching the model has already been planned. And in about a month, it will be announced what, where and how it will happen.
As a reminder, in early February, the Ministry of Digital Affairs launched the AI Center of Excellence, the first in Ukraine, which is also working on the development of a Ukrainian large language model (LLM). Dmytro Ovcharenko, CTO of the AI Center of Excellence and AICTO of the Ministry of Digital Affairs, reported that it is now known about the development of the model and when we can expect its release.
It was previously reported that Meta provided the Ministry of Digital Affairs with consultants and developers to create a Ukrainian «national language model» based on Llama.
