«From January 1 to May 1, 2025, a campaign for declaring citizens' income is underway in Ukraine. During this time, investors are required to declare profits from securities, real estate, cryptocurrency, and other investment assets for 2024. As a rule, the process of submitting a declaration is quite laborious», — the startup notes.
To simplify the annual filing of tax returns for investors and minimize the risks of errors in filling out documents, OSA.tax has created a specialized online platform. According to the developers, the service will also help «promote a conscious and responsible attitude towards paying taxes».
«By launching this platform, we aim, first, to contribute to the formation of a culture of declaration in Ukraine. Both among investors and among other taxpayers. We are convinced that transparency and responsibility in the field of taxation will increase if we offer people clear, accessible and easy-to-use tools,» said investor and co-founder Serhiy Tverdokhlib.
The service has a free version, where you can create a personal account and download brokerage accounts of the most popular foreign brokers in Ukraine. Each investor can receive a preliminary calculation of investment income and the amount of taxes payable to make sure that their own calculations are correct. The free version also includes a «Knowledge Base» section, which contains answers to the most common questions regarding the taxation of investment income.
In the paid version, users have access to the service of automatically generating and filling out a tax return on property and income, in particular in the part of data on investment income. Generating all the necessary files for the tax service takes just a few seconds, the startup says. The paid version also gives the opportunity to seek support from tax consultants.
OSA.tax plans to gradually expand the functionality of the service, in particular, add API access to brokerage accounts, which allows automatically downloading investment data from various brokerage platforms. The developers also plan to add the ability to log in through «Diia» and submit declarations without going to the taxpayer’s personal account.
The startup expects that their platform will gradually integrate new brokers and enter European markets.
