This was announced by the advisor to the Minister of Defense, military technical expert and consultant in the field of radio technologies, Serhiy «Flash».
According to him, dozens of such drones were circling over the country — their task was to distract air defense systems. That is why residents of several areas heard the characteristic sounds of approaching drones.
«Parody» is a drone-simulator without a warhead. It is much smaller and cheaper than the «Shahed», but is able to reproduce its radar signature thanks to the Luneberg lens — a partially foil-covered bullet. It is made of plywood and foam plastic, instead of a tank — a fuel bag. Previously, according to Defense Express, in mass attacks by the «Shahed», the share of such false targets reached up to 50% of the total number of drones launched.
Flash also reported that during yesterday’s attack there was a suspicion that a copy of a Ukrainian UAV was used, but this was not confirmed.
On April 20, Flash reported a targeted attack by a «shaheed» on his home in the Kyiv region. The specialist ended up in the hospital, and his house was completely destroyed.
