Skylum and Google partnership: Luminar launches on Android and ChromeOS

Ukrainian company Skylum, in collaboration with tech giant Google, has introduced a mobile version of Luminar, adapted for the Android ecosystem. The application offers fast and smooth photo editing. As well as an intuitive interface designed for convenient photo editing on any device: from smartphones to tablets and Chromebooks.

Ivan Kutanin, CEO of Skylum, emphasized that the partnership with Google is an important step in the company’s mission to make AI photo editing tools accessible to the widest possible range of people: «By releasing Luminar on Android, we are demonstrating our greatest strengths: professional-grade image processing technologies, working through an intuitive and engaging interface. Key AI features of Luminar:

Enhance AI. A single slider intelligently adjusts about ten important settings (shadows, highlights, contrast, tone, saturation, exposure, etc.), instantly improving the quality of your photo.
Structure AI. Makes images clearer and more detailed while maintaining a natural look.
Relight AI. Gives you full control over the lighting in your photo: perfect for creatively enhancing mood or correcting backlit scenes.
Atmosphere AI. Allows you to add atmospheric effects such as fog, mist, or haze to photos, making them more realistic.
Sky AI. Automatically detects the sky in a photo and replaces it with a new one. This takes into account realistic lighting and reflections of nearby objects.
Skin AI. Smooths skin and removes imperfections in one go. Helps portraits look neat while preserving natural skin texture.
Body AI: Subtly reshape your body for a more balanced look. AI accurately recognizes contours, ensuring natural changes without distorting the background.

Basic editing tools:

Develop. Adjust exposure, temperature, hue, smart contrast, highlights, shadows, blacks, whites, saturation, vibrance, vignette, and more.
Essential Tools. Detailing, object removal, landscape enhancement, and monochrome.
Filter collection. Color correction, film-style filters, and nostalgic tones.
