As Lubinets explains , in order to receive a pension in January, it was necessary to go through the procedure of confirming the fact that displaced pensioners do not receive a pension from the Russian authorities. To do this, it was necessary to go to the Pension Fund web portal, log in to your personal account using the “Diya.Signature” (“Diya ID”) created in the “Diya” application.
This process has created a problem, as many pensioners do not have such smartphone skills, or even have push-button phones. In addition, it seems that a proper information campaign was not carried out.
"The state did not convey clear information to people that they needed to undergo additional identification and confirmation. Thousands of pensioners found themselves in the same situation: people learned about the new requirements only when pension payments simply did not arrive in the account. The result was queues, panic, and the virtually paralyzed work of the Pension Fund bodies," emphasizes Lubinets, whose mother also did not receive a pension for the same reason.
Dmytro Lubinets appealed to the Government with a demand "not to complicate people's lives, but to simplify the procedure: extend the confirmation deadlines, properly inform all pensioners, and use existing state registers instead of chasing people through new circles of verification."
"We cannot force people to go through new complicated procedures if the state already has IDP registers, data on their place of residence, and all the necessary databases," Lubinets added.
