«We are ensuring recovery on sites that have an appropriate mechanism to protect the relevant data from possible attacks. A plan has also been developed to create a kind of „Pentagon“ for state registries, which we expect to be quickly implemented. The relevant team is already working on launching this initiative,» Stefanishyna said in an interview with Ukrinform.
She did not disclose that she used an analogy with the Pentagon, but added that during the cyberattack on state registers, Russia’s primary goal was to undermine the functionality of the state.
«This goal was not achieved, for which I would like to express my special gratitude to the specialists of the Ministry of Justice. However, cyberwar is being waged 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As long as the full-scale war with Russia continues, cyberwar will continue,» the Minister of Justice noted.
Recall that on December 19, Ukraine suffered the largest cyberattack on state registries in recent times. As a result of the attack, carried out by Russian hackers, the work of key systems of the Ministry of Justice was temporarily suspended. The hackers said that they destroyed all the data they had access to, including backup copies on servers in Poland.
