«We are launching the MacPaw AI Strategy 2025–2026! And this is not just the introduction of new features, but a complete reboot of the very essence of MacPaw,» Kubitsky wrote on the DOU forum.
The strategy, he said, envisions Eney, the AI that the company calls Computerbeing, as the layer of intelligence that connects all of MacPaw’s products, helping users «achieve their goals,» understanding their context and intent, and building experience with every interaction.
«It already helps us work with macOS every day within the company, but its real power is in becoming the „nervous system“ of all products,» says Volodymyr Kubitsky.
He added that the company’s AI strategy involves transforming not only the software, but also the teams. In particular, MacPaw is considering renaming the engineering department to AI & Engineering to emphasize the scale of the changes.
«Today, the MacPaw team has over 200 engineers, and we want each of them to have AI skills. To do this, together with L&D, we are launching training for all developers, and AI researchers will go through the basics of Swift and MLX. This will allow us to scale readiness for working with AI across the entire company, regardless of roles,» said the head of the company’s AI direction.
According to Volodymyr Kubitsky, MacPaw is currently most interested in federated learning, optimization of large language models, and generation of 3D animations and digital assets.
Recall that MacPaw, which created such popular Mac applications as CleanMyMac and Setapp, introduced Eney at CES 2025. The company claims that he is more than just another AI assistant, and rather a friendly interlocutor or colleague.
At the end of August, MacPaw CEO Oleksandr Kosovan spoke about the active development of the internal team working on AI and about open vacancies in this area.
