She left IT and created an AI assistant for the garden. Ukrainian project manager launched the application "Parostok"

Ukrainian IT specialist Daria Terekhova, after being fired from her IT job, created a website in two months. «Parostok» is an AI assistant for growing plants. The application takes into account the Ukrainian climate, helps plan crop care, and can analyze plants based on photos.

Terekhova spoke about the launch in Threads.

Before her release She worked in IT for 10 years, the last five of them in Project Manager positions in various domains. After being fired, she said, she spent the first few days resting and getting back into shape.

The idea for the new product came after watching a random Reels video in which an American woman showed how she harvested her garden.

«I worked in IT for 10 years in various positions in different domains. The last 5 years I was a Project. I had so much expertise in my head that I had to use it to my advantage,» Terekhova wrote. She also recalled her own childhood experience — then she spent a lot of time in the garden with her grandfather. As a result, she decided to combine knowledge about creating digital products with practical knowledge about growing plants.

What «Parostok» can do

According to the author, «Parostok» is an AI assistant for people with different levels of experience in gardening: from those who don’t know how to grow a plant from seeds to experienced gardeners.

The service can:

  • suggest further steps for plant care;
  • recommend feeding;
  • take into account the plants' need for sunlight;
  • to navigate the Ukrainian weather and climate;
  • adjust the care calendar;
  • analyze plants from photographs;
  • help with both garden plants and indoor plants.

Terekhova claims that «Parostok» is adapted specifically to Ukrainian conditions — in particular, Ukrainian land and local weather.

The app is still in its early stages of development. The author plans to add new crops, as well as features to prepare plants for winter and the next season.

«This is just the first version, which, thanks to your practice, support, and suggestions, will become an even more useful and enjoyable experience,» she noted.

«Spawn» is now available for iOS .

До речі це не АІ помічник, це повноцінний додаток який збудований на купі досліджень, алгоритмах, правилах та данних, а АІ помічник це лише частинка додатку. Тому тому хто писав статтю 5 за розповсюдження але 2 за "журналістику".
