Senior Frontend Engineer Oleksandr Kolesnyk created the Lessons platform, a service with short interactive lessons to help developers quickly refresh their basic knowledge before interviews for Frontend and Fullstack positions.
According to the IT expert, he independently implemented the entire development cycle — from idea to deployment, including content creation, design, task auto-checking, and integration with AI. The platform is built on the Next.js, TypeScript, and Prisma stack.
“This is a platform with short lessons for those who are preparing for a frontend/fullstack interview and want to quickly refresh their knowledge without hour-long videos and twenty open tabs,” said Oleksandr Kolesnyk on LinkedIn.
Lessons currently has 10 courses and 84 lessons available in HTML, CSS, SCSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue, Python, and Git. The material is presented in a “one lesson, one topic” format with a short explanation of the rule, a code example, and a link to the documentation.
The Lessons structure also includes:
testing — three questions after each lesson that simulate typical interview questions;
practical tasks — interactive exercises with automatic code checking;
AI assistant — the “Ask” button, which allows you to ask the artificial intelligence a question about a specific sentence in the context of the lesson;
Cheat sheets are a quick reference for reviewing syntax a few minutes before an interview.
The materials are available in Ukrainian and English. You can read the lessons without registering, and to access practical tasks and AI functions, you just need to log in. Currently, all functionality is free.
"This is the first version, so your feedback is very important to me. What topic is missing before the interview? What can be improved?", the developer asked the community. So you can leave your feedback in the comments to the LinkedIn post.
