The military man spoke about the initiative to create such a space in an interview with Roman Kravets.
According to Veres, there has not been an official presentation of the facility yet — the website for accepting applications is currently being finalized, but more than a hundred soldiers have already used the services. Answering a question about the feasibility of a game console in frontline conditions, the commander explained that this is simple logistics and time optimization.
"PlayStation is not such a big luxury these days. We optimize costs. If we bring a unit in a seven-seat van, and there are three or two seats in a barbershop, and there are five more people in line, they need to do something. They need to drink coffee and watch TV or play Sonka," Veres noted.
He emphasized that this is an economically justified decision. If the cost of the console is divided by the thousand soldiers who will use it, the costs will be a negligible amount per day.
The main goal of such an initiative is to ensure comfort for personnel so that military personnel do not spend their own money and can receive services in a safe place.
"Why is this important? Because I want my children (this is what Veres calls his subordinates - ed.) not to spend money on this and so that they can come to a place convenient for them, not be afraid of anything and be beautiful. I'm not building a brigade, I'm building a family and a team," the serviceman summed up.
