It is noted that the NRCs adopted in July are capable of performing logistical, special tasks, and evacuating the wounded.
«Ukrainian ground robots are designed on tracked or wheeled chassis, equipped with modern communication and video transmission systems. They operate in various weather conditions and are capable of covering significant distances,» the Ministry of Defense noted .
The defense ministry reported that a total of 40 Ukrainian ground-based robotic systems have been codified and put into operation since the beginning of 2025. Last year, about 60 NRCs were put into operation, and in 2023, 13 ground-based drones.
Last week, it became known that two Ukrainian miltech companies, DevDroid and Rovertech, have created a new ground robotic complex. The Zmiy Droid 12.7 reconnaissance and strike vehicle combines Rovertech’s Zmiy platform and DevDroid’s Wolly 12.7 combat module.
In July, Yaroslav Filimonov, CEO of the Ukrainian company Kvertus, which produces electronic warfare equipment, announced the launch of mass production of the AD BERSERK ground robotic complex .
