"I'm tired of mobile operators simply grumbling in the eyes of deputies and society through state bodies." People's Deputy Oleksandr Fedienko appealed to Fedorov regarding the deterioration of the quality of mobile communications
People's Deputy Oleksandr Fedienko appealed to the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov to take measures aimed at improving the quality of mobile communications along highway routes, railway tracks, as well as in villages and small towns.
People's Deputy Oleksandr Fedienko appealed to the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov to take measures aimed at improving the quality of mobile communications along highway routes, railway tracks, as well as in villages and small towns.
"Every time I go on a business trip somewhere, with all the words I have regarding the enemy, I also mention the mobile operators of Ukraine. Sorry for not restraining myself, but frankly speaking, I'm tired of mobile operators simply grumbling in the eyes of deputies and society through state bodies. The point is that almost a hundred people's deputies at one time addressed the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine and the National Commission for the Control of Electricity and Gas Consumption with the question that mobile communications in Ukraine are getting worse, worse and worse. And instead of developing communications in Ukraine, I have the impression that mobile operators are working for global beneficiaries," Fedienko wrote on Facebook.
According to the People's Deputy, at the collective request of the People's Deputies, the regulator only collected responses from mobile operators stating that they operate within the current quality indicators.
Fedienko also added the Ministry of Digital Affairs' verbatim response to the request from the people's deputies:
"In turn, the information provided in the appeal regarding the population's complaints about the quality of mobile communications, in particular in rural areas, small towns and along main transport routes, will be taken into account within the competence of the Ministry during further work and communications with suppliers and the regulatory authority. At the same time, the proposal to organize and hold a meeting with the participation of competent representatives of suppliers, the regulatory authority and other interested state authorities to consider the issue of deterioration in the quality of mobile communications will be further processed by the Ministry of Digital Affairs, within the scope of its competence, and, based on the results of the relevant meeting, will report on the results," the video response of the Ministry of Digital Affairs states.
In his post, the People's Deputy emphasizes the need to introduce the "speed" parameter for mobile communications at the legislative level.
"I want to appeal to both the ministry and the regulator that until the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine changes the legislation by introducing a speed parameter, based on which you will introduce a minimum speed of at least 50 megabits/s, mobile operators will continue to ignore you. Of course, this is an important issue for the Digital Transformation Committee," Fedienko emphasized.

"I very much approve and positively support the implementation of 5G, and when a separate private company enters the global stock exchange, but most of all I want the citizens of Ukraine to have not only high-quality voice communication, but also digital communication. Because all those digital innovations that are being introduced will never work as long as we have such poor-quality mobile communication," wrote Oleksandr Fedienko.
