Former Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation Valeria Ionan created the educational project "Pomplya and Friends" for children aged 3 to 5. With the help of books and games, children will be explained how to use technology safely, why passwords are needed, and how to live in the world of artificial intelligence.

This was reported by the project's press service.

The books will tell the story of the fictional country of Malyuvandia and four characters: Pomplu, Gley, Gumka, and Pickle. The first collection already includes six books and educational kits. Four stories introduce the characters, and two more are dedicated to digital habits.

"Password and the Rainbow Bridge" will talk about why you should protect your data and how to create strong passwords. And "The Day That Disappeared in the Tablet" will talk about screen time and why sometimes it's worth putting down your gadget for adventures with friends.

The idea for the project came to Yonan while she was working as Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation, after the birth of her son. She wondered what to teach the generation that would grow up around artificial intelligence.

And in the next collection, "Pomply and Friends," they will talk about fake news, communicating with language models, and why the number of likes on social media does not determine a person's value.

You can learn more about the books on the website "Pomplya and Friends".

Previously, dev.ua wrote that every fourth child in Ukraine receives their first gadget at the age of three. And more than 80% of schoolchildren begin to actively use social networks between the ages of 6 and 10.
